Volunteering Opportunities

We very much value the contribution of volunteers to the work of the Centre, and extra help is usually needed in the following areas:

 

  • Gardening – assisting with vegetable, herb or fruit growing, maintaining flower beds, etc.
  • Tours - assisting with educational tours for school groups.
  • Café & Eco-shop – helping to serve customers in the Grass Roof Café & Eco-Shop.
  • Open Days – helping out on one of our special open days with car parking, reception, in the café or eco-shop.
  • Administration - assisting the office staff with a range of admin tasks.
  • Projects – providing project assistant support to the Community Food Project Coordinator, the Peace & Environment Coordinator, or to the Centre Manager.

All volunteers are given appropriate training and supervision support.
